CAN I INSTALL SOLAR PANELS TO COVER THE POWER TO MY AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM?

The answer to this question is yes (partly).

We should differentiate between installations off grid or installations on grid (the most common) and which we'll talk about.

Currently, some of our clients are thinking about the installation of solar panels just to cover the power to their air conditioning system in the electricity bill. This is because the greatest consumption of this systems is made in hours of maximum sun.

For better understanding of the system operation we will base on an example. A 3000 frigories air conditioning inverter machine have been consuming a little less than 1000 watts. Because of this, we need 3 solar panels with maximum powers (375-400 wats approx.). Furthermore, in on grid system we will need an inverter that is able to cover, at least, the power for our air conditioning but it will not be necessary batteries.

The pro of this system is that the production of this power will be whether we have the air conditioning working or not; so, in addition could cover any other consumption of the house (fridge, washing machine, standby...). It would always mean save money on the electric bill. The contra is that solar panels cannot be guarantee the power on cloudy days. On this days it would cover  with the main grid.

In conclusion, it is possible to perform an installation of photovoltaic solar panels to cover the power to air conditioning system. Adding a 0-grid injection device would simplify the process because we do not need authorization from electricity companies.

We install the system and it can actuate immediately. For more information click HERE.
